INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

General: KickStrip should be attached one

on each leg, just prior to "lights off", while already

lying in bed. The following instructions refer to a

single leg.

1. Remove KickStrip and green sticker from

    plastic wrapper.

2. Using the alcohol prep (removed from its

individual wrapper), firmly wipe circular display

area (see arrow in figure 1).

3. Using both hands, gently peel green sticker from

its white protective paper and attach sticker firmly

onto the KickStrip display area, as shown in figure 2.

A red light will turn on underneath the white

sensor body, indicating that the sticker is properly

    placed on the display area.

4. The sensor body should be placed on the lower

front of the leg, just above the joint. The green

sensor tail should extend to the top center of the

foot (see figure 3). Remove the three paper

adhesive covers and attach the device securely

in place. Stretch foot forward while attaching the tail.

5. To ensure proper placement, note that the tail

forms two small "waves" when the foot is relaxed

or contracts upwards(see figure 4). The red light should

blink with each foot movement, indicating good placement.

These blinks will stop after about 20 minutes.

6. Repeat sections 1-4 for other leg.

7. Have a good night!

8. Upon awakening, KickStrip should be removed

from legs, and the tails cut off with scissors (at any

point along the tail). Note that the red light turns

ON after the tail is cut off.

8. Return KickStrip to your physician for interpretation

   of the results.
